Copyleft-Next was founded by Richard Fontana in July 2012. Most importantly, copyleft-next applies standard, and widely accepted FOSS contributor and collaboration techniques to the task of licensing drafting for FOSS.
As such, the project moves slowly. We seek input from hobbyists and individuals who would like to copyleft their software. We seek to write a FOSS license that the average software developer can understand, enjoy, and apply to their software.
We follow the “Hindering Backchannels Rule”.
The project has been dormant for some time. Bradley M. Kuhn and Richard Fontana are on cusp of relaunching the project.
